The MVT UI for merchandising rules has been updated to display rules that are relevant to the selected date period. The UI for merchandising rules was updated as well.
Recommend
Boost and Restriction Rules have been enhanced to enable a single rule to dynamically match the context for brands, categories, and product attributes. for example, if you wanted to silo product recommendations to the same category context of the current user, you can setup a Recommend Only rule that matches the category of the user.
You can also match the combinations of brands, categories, and product attributes. For example, you may want to recommend only products that are within the same category and for the brand and gender.
In addition, the minimum number of reviews required for ratings in merchandising rules has been changed from 25 to 1.
The Similar Products model that is used to recommend similar products based upon a comparison of brands, categories, and product attributes, has been updated to allow recommendations for products that are out of stock. If a user lands on a product that is currently out of stock, the similar products strategy can be used to recommend similar products. There is a restriction currently where the number of products that have at least one category cannot be more than 500,000 products. In the future we'll be lifting this restriction.
Engage
With Dynamic Experiences you can now create your own templates with variables. By defining the variables and providing the custom code that uses the variables, you can design custom templates for use by non-technical users. For example, you may create a template with background images, buttons and button colors, or text and text colors enabling variations of these templates to be created and used by non-technical users without modifying the underlying code.
